An International Ministry
Since 1937, Child Evangelism Fellowship has operated a number of ministries around the globe, the primary ones now being the 5-Day Club, Good News Club, Wonderzone.com and the Truth Chasers Club. The Good News Club and 5-Day Club ministries take place in neighborhood settings such as homes, backyards, schools and community centers all over the world. These fast-paced, one-hour programs are designed to bring the Gospel of Christ to children on their level in their environment. These clubs are organized by local chapters scattered throughout their respective localities. Along with these clubs, CEF also has fair, camping, and open air ministries for children. Last year through these combined ministries nearly 20 million children worldwide heard the good news. Our local chapters can all be seen in the adjacent column.
Bible Correspondence Ministry
The Truth Chasers Club is an exciting Bible correspondence course designed to disciple children and adults. God has allowed us to reach over 483,000 people (70% of that number children) in more than 130 countries.
Training Christians to effectively minister to children has been core to our ministry since it was founded. Training is offered throughout the USA and around the world through seminars, conferences, and formal courses. The Children’s Ministries Institute, a modular 3-month course located at CEF International Headquarters in Warrenton, Missouri, is dedicated to providing quality, practical training for those called of God to take the Gospel message to children. Similar training is offered in various locations around the world and also online.
Materials & Resources
CEF Press produces and distributes Bible and missionary lessons and related materials for use in teaching children to help accomplish the goals of the ministry. Our teaching materials are available to the public and many products are translated into some 189 different languages, being distributed around the world, including to an exciting program for teenagers called Christian Youth In Action (CYIA).
Christian Youth in Action
In June all across the USA thousands of young people are trained to conduct 5-Day Clubs. CEF of Wisconsin & Minnesota work together in holding Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) this short-term, summer ministry dedicated to the training and development of committed Christians (ages 13 and up) who want to be equipped to reach children for Christ. By completing the Twelve-day training program, you will be certified by Child Evangelism Fellowship Inc. to teach children in a CEF sponsored 5-Day Club. Throughout the summer they have many opportunities to present the Gospel to boys and girls, experiencing the joy of leading others to the Lord. Some of these teens go on to participate in Good News Across America
CEF International Headquarters is located in the small town of Warrenton, Missouri, 50 miles West of St. Louis.
Statement of Faith
Child Protection Policy (CPP)
A Local Chapter is run by a local committee, a local director and is made up of volunteers from area churches. Since a local chapter can often comprise multiple counties, these people come from all sorts of different places and backgrounds. Mothers, fathers, deacons, pastors, and adults of all types who are concerned for the spiritual welfare of area children serve on CEF committees.
